We have been having a blast this last month while we have been hosting new workshops and starting to nurture our little creative, sustainable community.

We kicked off our workshops series ‘Sustainable Home’ by making BeesWax wraps, the event was hosted by Rosanna Colabella of A Modern Curandera. These wonderful little wraps replace anything that you would use plastic wrap for, covering a bowl, wrapping up half of an avocado or lemon, these wraps keep food fresh much longer than plastic wrap and they are reusable!

It was fun to be able to pick out our fabric from all the patterns then paint on the wax and use the heat guns to melt it in. Our favorite part was once the wax was melted in, you picked up the wrap and fanned it around while dancing (dancing not completely necessary but mostly Marisa and I fanned and danced simultaneously).

Some enjoyed multitasking, example fanning in one hand while using the heat gun in the other to melt the next wraps.

Everyone loved this event and we have been getting a lot of questions about another one. So we will be hosting another one coming up soon, so make sure to keep your eyes peeled for the next one.
